The Northwest Arkansas Community College Trails, Trades, and Construction Technology, and Service Learning programs partnered with Sleep In Heavenly Peace Bentonville on Friday, Oct. 20, to build beds for children who need them.

The building of the beds took place from 8 a.m. until the beds were finished later in the day, with the goal being to build 25 beds for children in need of somewhere to sleep. The activity took place in the college’s Integrated Design Lab located behind the Becky Paneitiz Student Center. All of the materials used to construct the beds were donated and provided by private donors and the NWACC Foundation.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national organization that has many places around the United States that will build beds for children that need them. The non-profit organization partners with colleges, stores, companies, etc. to help aid those that need the assistance.
