Two Benton County mayors turned back challenges to retain their office in Tuesday’s balloting. In Washington County, Fayetteville’s incumbent mayor, Lioneld Jordan, will face challenger Molly Rawn in a Dec. 3 runoff.
Unofficial results from the Nov. 5 elections show:
- Bentonville: Incumbent Stephanie Orman and businessman Steve Galen battled head-to-head in the Bentonville mayor race. Orman captured 11,243 votes or 54%, and Galen received 9,560 votes or 46%.
- Rogers: Justice of the Peace Chris Latimer ran against current Mayor Greg Hines for Mayor. Latimer brought in 11,825 votes or 49% and the incumbent, Hines, brought in 12,308 or 51%.
- Fayetteville: Incumbent Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan faced three challengers: Molly Rawn, Adam Fire Cat and Tom Terminella. According to unofficial results, Jordan captured 16,609 votes or almost 47% while Rawn received 13,068 votes or almost 37%. Fire Cat received 1,332 votes or 3.76%, and Terminella received 4,386 or more than 12% of the vote. Neither of the top two candidates received a majority of the votes cast, and that triggers a runoff between Rawn and Jordan.
Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse did not face a challenger on the Nov. 5 ballot and was re-elected to his office.
